Missing

Phone

It’s funny how you get when you’re missing something, especially when it’s something very specific. If you’re a collector, you know the feeling well; in fact, hunting down those hard-to-find parts of the collection is a huge part of the fun. If nothing else, the internet has taught us that whatever strange or unusual collection you might be working on, there are others with the same yen.

Did you ever consider using the airwaves to find that item? You could reach a rather wide audience on Paper Shop Live!, and – best of all – it costs nothing. We welcome you to give us a call on Saturday, tell us a little about what you’re working on and let us help you hunt down what, exactly, you’d like to find.

We don’t care if it’s a part for an antique car, a serving piece to complete that antique china collection or even something you’d just like to have for sentimentality’s sake, such as an old toy. Call us. Tell our audience. Get collecting! 9-10 am Saturday, 1-888-303-0630

The Classics

Corvette

Cars, that is.

If you’re a lover of the vintage & the antique, we’re willing to bet you’re a frequent reader of our Antique Autos & Parts category. From a 1923 Ford Model T pickup to a 1976 Corvette Stingray, we’ve got a pretty impressive selection of classic cars, all for sale.

While we do love taking a peek at any photos that are submitted for these rides, we’re no car show judges. Because of this, we’ve got a pretty standard rule to determine whether a car goes into the Antique Autos category or into Domestic or Foreign Autos: if the car is 25 years old or older, it’s an antique*.

*Never fear! We don’t hold people to the same standard. Why, if you’re 25 or older, we think you’re just coming into your prime. After all, at 44 years, we certainly are!

Calling all (vintage) cars!

antiquecarcrop

There are used cars. And then there are used cars of the antique sort. Our Antique Autos & Parts category is one of our hottest sections, including everything from vintage cars to antique truck parts. Some of the cars are long-term projects while others are classic muscle cars for sale, all ready to show.

The thing about antique vehicles is that specific vehicles often have their own die-hard following. So one collector my be on the hunt for, say, antique Ford hubcaps while another couldn’t be bothered with anything other than Dodge pickup parts. It’s no surprise, then, that Antique Autos is the category most likely to contain a “Wanted to Buy” ad. We also encourage collectors to call us on the air during our weekly broadcast of Paper Shop Live! to tell us about what old cars (or even parts of old cars) they’d love to find.

Hot Wheels

Firebird2

Ask around and you’re likely to find that most people you know found a car through Paper Shop.

Perhaps it was that first car: often short on bells & whistles, but generally pretty affordable. Sometimes it’s a car just for commuting. Or maybe a rough service 4×4 just for winter. Either way, we’re NEPA’s premier source to find used (and new) vehicles. We’ve got lots of experience, since we’ve been doing this for nearly 45 years!

Let’s put that 45 years into perspective.

'68 Firebird

Here’s a car that matches us in years: it’s a ’68 Pontiac Firebird. In fact, we’ve currently got it listed for sale. Pretty sweet, huh? It’ll go into print for the January 2, 2013 issue, but you can find it on thepapershop.com in our Antique Autos category (hint: type ’68 Pontiac Firebird into the Keyword Search field).
